Sessions: Each session will be one hour long, and members will pick one activity per session.  Youth can sign up for one session, two sessions, or all three sessions.  Cost will be the same whether the youth choose one or three sessions.  The sessions are open for all members grades K-13.

SESSION 1: 9:00 am-10:00 am

Ice Cream Making – Let’s make ice cream in a bag and enjoy eating homemade ice cream.

Wool Painting a Winter Scene – Felting needles are used to anchor the wool to the background. This can be displayed with a wood frame. 

Shipwreck Detectives – Ahoy, aspiring Shipwreck Detectives! Set sail on a thrilling adventure into Wisconsin’s maritime history and uncover the secrets of Lake Michigan’s shipwrecks through this engaging, hands-on program with Legos. Explore maritime archaeology techniques and sharpen your critical thinking as you solve some of the lake’s greatest mysteries with us!

Bamboo tree – We will use bamboo skewers and rope to create a holiday bamboo tree. A great décor for the holidays.

Popcorn Balls – Let’s pop some popcorn and make holiday popcorn balls.

Hand Crafted Christmas/Holiday Cards – Create your own Christmas cards using colored pencils. You will learn techniques such as blending and layering colors, which will bring your drawings to life.

Recycled Notebook Making – Create a recycled notebook or art journal from old packaging and recycled paper.

Trebuchet Building – Build a desktop version of a 500-year-old war machine.  Can you bring down the walls of the castle?
