Like the Dairy Kiddie Showmanship, we will be holding a Little Squealers Showmanship at the 2023 Manitowoc County Fair!
When: Saturday, August 26 at 3pm
Where: Multi-Purpose Building (Beef and Goat Barn)
Who: Children 5-9 years old
Children/parents/guardians will be required to arrange the use of a Junior Fair exhibitor’s swine project that is already in the Lester’s Building (Swine Barn) at the Manitowoc County Fairgrounds. Safety is important, so you should use an animal that behaved well during the Junior Fair Swine show.
The children will be divided into groups based on age or at the discretion of the Swine Superintendent. Children will be judged on their basic showmanship skills. The comments made by the judge will include tips on improving these skills. Ribbons will be awarded to all participants.
REGISTRATION DUE BY AUGUST 9. Parents/Guardians should come one hour early to help set up the ring and gates to walk the animals from the Lester’s Building to the show ring in the Multi-Purpose Building. There will be a mandatory meeting in the show ring one half hour before the event start time where the backtags and programs will be given out.
PLEASE SEND YOUR ENTRY BY AUGUST 9. Return the completed and signed Application and Permission Slip below to the Swine Superintendent.
